Conversations for Leaders - Sydney 22 September 2026

A$995.00

Most leaders know that how they show up in conversations shapes what people are willing to say. What's harder to know is how to show up differently, especially in the conversations that feel uncertain, uncomfortable, or high stakes.

Conversations for Leaders is a one-day scenario-based and practice-focused workshop for team leaders, operational managers, and anyone who leads people or influences how work gets done.

You will spend the day practising real conversations, not studying them.

You'll leave able to:

  • Create the conditions where people speak honestly, so what matters surfaces before it becomes a problem.

  • Help your team and organisation learn from everyday work, not just from things that go wrong.

  • Build genuine ownership and commitment through conversations that strengthen accountability.

  • Help learning travel across teams and through the organisation.

  • Become someone people are willing to tell the truth to.

The facilitator

Daniel Hummerdal started out as a pilot, retrained as a psychologist, and has spent fifteen years working with leaders and frontline teams trying to understand why the conversations that matter so rarely happen, and what to do about it. He has worked with organisations including Netflix, Digital Realty, Laing O'Rourke, and WorkSafe New Zealand, and is the author of An Invitation to Safety Conversations.
